Dr. Solaiman AlTwaijri, CEO of the National Agricultural Development Company Nadec, took part in the Global Retail Leaders Forum 2025, held under the theme "Rebuilding a Shared Future."

As part of the forum, Dr. AlTwaijri contributed to a panel discussion titled "Feeding the Future: Balancing Innovation and Resilience in Saudi Arabia's Food & Retail Market." During the session, he addressed key challenges facing the food and retail sectors in the Kingdom and outlined strategic solutions to navigate them. With an increasing consumer demand for healthier, personalized, and sustainable food options—driven by Saudi Arabia’s projected population growth of over six million by 2030—industry leaders are called to adapt and innovate.

Dr. AlTwaijri emphasized that the most pressing challenge is achieving a balance between innovation and cost efficiency while meeting consumer expectations for diversity and quality. To strike this balance, he highlighted the critical role of technological advancements, supply chain optimization, and consumer behavior insights.

Additionally, he underscored the importance of investing in sustainable practices while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This, he argued, not only grants companies a competitive edge but also enables them to seamlessly integrate creativity with business strategies, delivering innovative yet affordable options to consumers.

The Global Retail Leaders Forum, hosted in Riyadh, convenes top executives from the retail sector worldwide. The event features discussions on pivotal topics such as enhancing resilience, accelerating digital transformation, AI-driven innovation, and fostering strategic partnerships across the industry.
