NADEC'S Sustainability Oasis in Haradh: An Inspiring Model Supporting Green Cover with Over Half a Million Trees

nadec

The NADEC Sustainability Oasis in the Haradh project represents one of the most prominent environmental sustainability initiatives. It serves as a practical model for integrating environmental and agricultural efforts in resource management and enhancing vegetation cover. The oasis relies on treating wastewater from Nadec's factories and projects and reusing it to irrigate trees and plant nurseries.

The oasis includes the artificial NADEC Lake, which collects treated water, as well as the NADEC Forest, which is witnessing continuous expansion in the number of trees. Currently, more than 550,000 trees are being irrigated as part of afforestation initiatives, with efforts underway to reach one million trees. These efforts contribute to enhancing vegetation cover and supporting biodiversity, reflecting NADEC'S commitment to adopting sustainable practices that preserve natural resources and support the environment for future generations.

* It is worth noting that these initiatives come within the framework of “NADEC'S” commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and rationalizing the use of water resources, which contributes to supporting the development of vegetation cover and promoting sustainable agricultural practices, in support of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in environmental sustainability and improving the quality of life.
